Sam David Cashat

Sam David Cashat, 92, passed away on Sunday July 21, 2024 in Arlington, Texas. He was born on March 1, 1932 in Houston, Texas to Sam and Katherine Cole Cashat. David was raised in Goose Creek, Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1957. He served four years in the Navy during the Korean Conflict.

He married the love of his life Grace Elizabeth Hart in 1956 and the couple had two children. A proud working man, David was an electrical engineer for LTV for more than 32 years.

In his spare time he enjoyed investing, gardening, cooking Bar-B-Que, coming up with new recipes, and having his parents over to visit on Sunday afternoons. David will be remembered as a hard working man who rarely found time to play.

David is preceded in death by his parents Sam and Lila Cashat, beloved wife Betty Cashat, and half sisters Hilda Stedry and Della Thomas.

David is survived by his sons Robert and Walter Cashat (Debbie), grandchildren Cameron Cashat (Danielle) and Lindsay Lowry, great grandchildren Lola Lowry and Sophia and James Cashat.

In lieu of flowers, donations to New World United Methodist Church at 2201 N Davis Dr. Arlington, Texas would be greatly appreciated.

A visitation for David will be 12:00 pm Friday August 2, 2024 and the funeral at 1:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home 1219 North Davis Dr Arlington, Texas.
