Scott was a great big brother to me and had a very special role in our family. I will always see him as the funny, sweet, huge brother who had my back. He is sorely missed but will be reunited in heaven with his family one day! Love you and miss you so much it hurts, Scott.

We were host parents for Scott his year at KWU.  We fell in love with him immediately.  He was always so polite and courteous to us........wouldn't call us anything but Mr. and Mrs. Blanchard. Scott was a true friend of mine in his year at KWU.As Matt said,once a Jones boy, always a Jones boy! Also a Texas boy and Longhorn fan,we had a lot in common. He will truly be missed.

Scott "Mac-Man" was a joy to me as a coach during his year at Kansas Wesleyan University.  He earned a letter as a freshman and was so respected by the upper-classmen. Occasionally I would hear from him via e-mail, and his comments were always so friendly and personal just as he was during his time at KWU as one of the Jones Boys.  It is so sad to lose a light to the world as he was.  So many enter a room and it seems to darken while when Scott came in causing to whole room to brighten.

I just heard about the Scott's passing today. I knew Scott from his time at KWU and as a fellow Texan we bonded from the time he set foot on campus. I remained in touch with Scott over the years even though he was only at KW for a yr.  Once a Jones Boy always a Jones Boy and I know the entire KW Men's Hoop family is sadden of this loss.  As many have said on here Scott was indeed a great guy and had a zest for life. Watch over the hoops family "Mc Man"! My prayers are with his family.

I just heard about Scott passing. My deepest sympathy. I was friends with him while he attended KWU in Salina. He was a wonderful Christian and a great witness. Even though it's been years, I still have one of his basketball photos. He was such a blessing!

Scott is a beloved son in whom I am well pleased.  He is now living in a splendid place beyond words and is experiencing unfathonable peace and love.Even if he could return to earth and have all money debts paid he would choose to remain in the blessed place of Jesus His savior. Scott was a precious boy that I knew from Covenant Christian Academy!

Our sorrow is great.  He will have a lasting legacy at Texas Tech School of Law.  Scott was in two of my classes and was a founding member of the Estate Planning and Community Property Law Journal. I'm sorry I never had the privilege of meeting Scott during his life here. And I know how it is to lose a treasured family member just before Christmas. I pray that Scott's joy in being with his family in heaven will be felt by the family who love him here, and will bring them comfort and peace.

I worked with Scott.  Scott and I would go to lunch when possible which was a lot.  I enjoyed working with him.  I enjoyed listening to his stories.  Just a couple of weeks ago he was saying how he loved his family and they were his best friends. He is going to be very missed dearly by everyone.

Scott was as fine a young man as God has ever put on earth.  We miss him and our prayers are with his family.

Scott has a huge heart. Before I moved out of the country, Scott bought me a  cake. He honored me with continual affirmation and love and spoke at my wedding celebration. He really loved me and demonstrated that he cared about me and many people. Though he had a degree in law, due to his desire to help, comfort, and encourage people in a more personal way, he planned to change his career to become either a chaplain, nurse, or minister. He wanted to help hurting people find relief. 

In the last several months of his life, he realized the meaninglessness of pursuing fleeting, worldly affluence and pleasure and chose to live a life pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ with whole-hearted devotion. I am incredibly proud of Scott. He is my brother forever. I will see him again in the Kingdom of God's beloved Son, in whom we have redemption the forgiveness of sins. Scott is now present with our merciful Father, the God of all comfort and the compassionate Savior, Jesus Christ who love Scott with an everlasting love.
