

Terri Lynn Shaffer, a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, Nana, and caring healthcare professional, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on November 18, 1967, in Waco, TX, Terri grew up there before moving to Arlington with her loving husband, Randy. Throughout her life, Terri poured her heart into caring for others, particularly in her role as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Her passion for nursing and helping people was evident in everything she did, and her kindness and warmth left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Terri bravely faced a long history of cancer treatments, never letting go of hope. She maintained a positive, sunny outlook through it all, with a resilience that inspired everyone around her. Her unwavering optimism, coupled with her playful and silly nature, brightened the lives of those she encountered. Terri's compassionate spirit, her infectious laughter, and her ability to always see the light in any situation were a gift to all.
She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Shaffer; her daughter and son-in-law, Braden and Andrew Bowles; her beloved grandson, Theodore Jack, who brought her endless joy; and her cherished fur baby, Piper. Terri is also remembered by her mother, Linda Fisk; her sisters, Carol Slater and Sherry Albert, along with their families, including her nieces Karys, Grace, and Emory. She also leaves behind three stepchildren and their families including grandchildren Charlotte, Griffin, Cora, and Daegan, each of whom she loved with all her heart. She was adored by many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Ronald Fisk, and her beloved sons, Corey and Tanner.
Visitation will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington on Wednesday, March 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Thursday, March 13, at 2:00 p.m. at the same location. In honor of Terri’s vibrant and loving spirit, the family requests that those attending the service wear pink.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Terri’s honor to the American Cancer Society, a cause she held close to her heart.
Terri’s memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she touched. Her love, warmth, and unwavering optimism will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will forever be loved and never forgotten.
