Thomas Bateman

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Moore Funeral Home South Chapel, 1219 N. Davis Drive, in Arlington. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, August 7, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home. Interment will be at Moore Memorial Gardens.

He was born Thomas Michael Bateman on August 19, 1982 in Arlington, son of John West Bateman and Kathy Shults Bateman. Thomas married Jill Parra on August 31, 2012 and was an electrician at Six Flags Over Texas. Thomas loved his boat and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a kind and loving spirit and was loved by everyone. Most of all, Thomas loved his wife Jill and his daughter Sophie. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cleta Bell Shults.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Jill Bateman; daughter, Sophie Bateman; his parents, John and Kathy Bateman; sister, Emily Ellis; nieces Autumn and Amanda Ellis; maternal grandfather, Tom Shults; and his paternal grandparents, Jack and Latrell Bateman.
