

He was baptized into the Lutheran faith in Emporia, Kansas. He attended most of his grade school and High School in Arlington, and graduated from Lamar High School in 1983. He also attended college for 2 years at the University of Texas at Arlington, but went on to work at Intercontinental Metals, before beginning his career as a Mail Processor at USPS for 27 years.
Albert met his wife of 21 years, Mary Gaither Esparza, and they married on April, 11, 2003. From that union they had 1 son, Payton James and 2 step-daughters, Hillary and Alexandra and her step-son Christopher.
Albert was never idle, and always had a project he was working on. He lived a life of service, by working so long at the post office and taking care of his family and friends, and anyone who needed him. He loved boating, fishing and cheering on his World Championship Texas Rangers baseball team.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Calk. He is survived by his wife Mary and son Payton, of the home: step-daughters Hillary Esparza of Arlington, Texas and Alexandra Esparza of Ft. Worth, Texas. He was also Paw-Paw to Hillary’s 3 year old daughter, Mariana Trejo; her step-son Christopher Esparza and wife Shonese; his mother, Esther Calk of Arlington, Texas; his sister, Ellen Page of Arlington, Texas and her son Bryant Page of Southlake, Texas.
Funeral Services will be at Moore Funeral Home at 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, Texas at 1p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3-5.
