Memorial Service: A Rosary will be held on Sunday 19 August at 3:00 PM at Moore’s Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington 1219 North Davis Drive. This will be followed by visitation until 6 PM. Service and burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday 20 August.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Habitat for Humanity.

Thomas was born June 11, 1949 to Samuel Eugene “Buck” Carr and Ilafae Smith Carr in Paducah, Texas. He grew up in Arlington, attended Arlington High School and after graduation attended Tarrant County Junior College. He married Jeannie Borgen in 1975. Thomas worked in the building industry for most of his adult life. He was associated with multiple lumber companies and built apartment complexes and custom homes in Tyler. He was the owner of Tom Carr Custom Homes and recently built custom homes in Arlington. Tom’s passion was music and he entertained as he played and sang at different venues in Fort Walton Beach Florida, Tyler and Arlington until the last.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents and brother James D. Carr.

Survivors: His sister, Judy Atherton and husband, Craig of Weatherford; sister-in-law Judy Carr of Tyler; Nieces and nephews; Jim Carr and wife Tonya, Todd Carr and wife Randi, Kim Lowe, Angela Stock and husband Kevin, Amy Atherton, Ann Decker and husband Curt, and 13 wonderful great nieces and nephews.
