Troy Wayne Dixon

Troy Wayne Dixon, of Cleburne, Texas passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 84. He was born December 18, 1940, in Emhouse, Texas to George Franklin Dixon and Ercle Pope Dixon. He is preceded in death by both parents, as well as his only brother Joe Bob Dixon.

Troy is a 1960 Graduate of Corsicana High School. He retired after 33 years from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington, Texas. He was an active member of Nolan River Baptist Church and spent several years volunteering with the City of Cleburne Whistle Stop Christmas Lights display. He also enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

Troy is survived by his wife of 62 years Nellie Grace Dixon; his three sons, Michael Wayne Dixon and wife Teresa of Grand Prairie, Darrin Todd Dixon and wife Lisa of Grand Prairie and Chad Allen Dixon of Fort Worth. He is PaPa to four grandchildren: Heather Nicole Kennemur and husband Jerrod, Joshua Wayne Dixon and wife Sarah, Haley Brooke Zaun and husband Aaron, and Hannah Marie Milutin and husband Matthew. He is great PaPa to Drake Kennemur, Brooklyn Kennemur, Finley Dixon and one great-granddaughter on the way, as well as multiple nephews, nieces, family members and many friends.

Troy leaves a legacy of faith and love; he spent his life loving and taking care of his family and he will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Nolan River Baptist Church on Sunday, September 21 at 5:00pm in Cleburne, Texas.
