Troy VL Pate Jr.

Troy V L Pate, Jr., age 61, passed away on June 21, 2023 in Arlington, TX. He was born on December 22, 1961 in Arlington, TX to Troy V L Pate, Sr. and Wanda June Attebury-Pate. He graduated from Bowie High School in 1980 and earned his BSEE from UTA in 1997. Troy married Chris Patton-Pate in July of 1988 and they had one son, David William Pate.

Troy was an engineer at Lockheed Martin for over 25 years working in Nevada, California, and Texas. He worked on ATACMS, GMLRS and ARTSV2 programs while working at Missile and Fire Control in Grand Prairie, TX, but his favorite assignment was at the Atlas Test Site in NV.

In his spare time, Troy enjoyed several hobbies: wood working, model trains, coins, guns, and brewing craft beer. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs at the cabin. Troy also enjoyed many family trips throughout the US.

Troy’s loved ones will always remember him as a giving person with a wonderful sense of humor who “never met a stranger”.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Troy V L Pate, Sr. and Wanda June Attebury-Pate; his in-laws Joe and Mary Patton; and sisters-in-law Shelli Patton and Ina Patton. He is survived by his wife Chris Pate, and their son David Pate (Shelbi); Sisters Vicki Box (Ricky) and Kristal Pate; Aunt Ethel Powell; Uncle Glenn Pavlik (Minella); sister-in-law Kathy Land (Woodie); brothers-in-law Mark Patton and Eric Patton; and many wonderful cousins, nieces, and nephews.
