

Virgil Lee Cooper, age 86, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 in his Cedar Hill home. Lee was born on November 14, 1936 to Virgil and Edith Cooper of Baytown, Tx. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1958. He fulfilled his military obligation as an S/4, 40th Artillery, 2nd Missile Battalion, Zweibrukken, West Germany. He spent his career in management at K Mart stores across 8 States. He retired in 1994 after 33 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sis, in2005. Lee enjoyed watching football, especially his beloved Longhorns and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Lee is survived by daughter Melissa Maxwell (David) of Cedar Hill, Tx, stepdaughter Karen Harrington of Tucson, Az, stepson Steve Dudas (Mary Lou) of Los Angeles, CA. Grandchildren Lee Harrington of Tucson, Az, Jon Harrington (Amanda) of Tucson, Az, Mason Dudas of New York City, Caitlin Maxwell of Dallas, Tx, Erin Hosein (Sareek) of Snow Camp, NC and Cooper Maxwell of Bloomington, In. Great-grandchildren include Aidan Harrington and Quinn Harrington of Tucson, Az
A visitation for Lee will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 27, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Friday, October 27, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A reception to follow all services on October 27 at Moore Funeral Home reception room.
