In the womb, Winston enjoyed walks in the park, Flamin’ Hot Cheetos, Mustard on Pickles, and Strawberry milkshakes. He loved spicy food and it showed with a head full of thick, curly hair. He was active and vibrant often doing acrobatics and kickboxing while he developed. He loved music of all kinds and was particularly fond of worship in Español.
He is survived by his parents, Mark Evers and Connally Lopez Evers. His siblings, Annalyce, Theresa, Aaron, and Matthew Rogers. His grandparents Richard and Connie Evers, and Hilaria Almanza López. His Aunt and Uncles James and Darcy Evers, Robert Almanza, Jesús López, and Adrianna Grubb. As well as many other extended family and friends.
The family sends a special thank you to all the nurses, doctors, and staff at Medical City Arlington. Specifically, the nurse team of Kerrie, Emelin, Candice, Kylie, Tori, Jenny, Matilda, Ryan, Marcy, and Ginny for the amazing care they provided. We also thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Omega OBGYN, specifically Dr. Morgan, Dr. Oladell, and Tanya Taylor for their care.
Safe in the arms of the angels …
Safe in the arms of the angels
Baby Winston slumbers today,
Not destined for life on this earth
But a home so far away.
Just as far away as heaven
Just as close as the beat of our hearts,
And although we can’t be with you
We will love you wherever you are.
A dream that blessed us with beauty
Is the hope that still shines our way,
That you rest in the arms of the angels
Till we meet again one sweet day.
