Youssef Wanies Sorial

Youssef Wanies Sorial, 84, of Colleyville, TX, departed to the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 4:25 PM. He was born in Egypt on May 5, 1937. Youssef graduated from Ain Shams University in Cairo and received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He was married for 52 years to Afaf Sorial on August 24, 1969. He fulfilled a dream of becoming a Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.) on May 20, 1992 and worked as an accountant and auditor for the Defense Contract Audit Agency, Damson Oil Corporation, and Clipper International.

Youssef was an active member at St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Colleyville, TX, serving as a deacon, treasurer, and elder for many in the parish. He enjoyed serving others, participating in church services, traveling, watching soccer, and spending time with family and friends.

Youssef is survived by his wife and the love of his life Afaf Soriall, his children Susan, Paul, and Rev. Fr. Michael Sorial and his wife Mora; his grandchildren Rebecca and Abigail Nashed, and Joseph, Grace and Elijah Sorial.

Youssef Sorial is the revered brother of the late Uzala and her late husband Mikhail, Narges and her late husband Fayez, the late Maher and his wife Mimi, the late Mousa and his late wife Souzan; his late brother-in-law Mamdooh and his wife Ferial, and his brother-in-law Reda and his wife Vivian.

He is the admired uncle, spiritual brother, friend, confidant, and mentor to countless.

Wake / Condolences: 7:00PM - 9:00 PM
