Alfred M. Cochran Jr.

1948 - 2010

Turner - Alfred M. "Shorty" Cochran Jr., age 61, of Main St. in Turner, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday morning September 8th with family at his bedside. He was born in Island Falls, Maine November 7, 1948 a son of Alfred M. Cochran Sr. and Marion Grant. He was educated in Island Falls schools and has been a resident in Turner for over 30 years. Shorty worked 37 years at Pioneer Plastics until his retirement. On February 4, 1978 he married the former Sara Leighton and together they settled at 108 Main St. in Turner. Shorty was very active in the community having served 27 years on the Turner Volunteer Fire Department and 25 years with Turner Rescue. He always kept active and busy as he enjoyed working on small engines and his favorite outdoor activities of fishing and hunting. Shorty was a well-known and well-liked man who touched many lives in the community and will be sadly missed by many.

He leaves his wife of 32 years, Sara Cochran of Turner; two daughters Robin Levasseur and companion Lewis Crowell of Turner and Joanne Posik and husband Jim of Turner; a son Alfred D. "Boo-Boo" Cochran of Canton; his mother Marion Cochran of Canton; three grandchildren; a sister Dehlia Sessions of Livermore and

many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father Alfred M. Cochran Sr., a son Randy Cochran, and a sister Candice Royer.

Funeral at Calvary Baptist Church, 20 North Main St. Turner, Mon. 1 PM. Committal and interment to follow at Turner Village Cemetery.
