

Lewiston - Allain M. DeHayes, 71 of Turner, died Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Central Maine Medical Center. He was born in Paris, France, August 13, 1940 son of the late John and Pauline Pain DeHayes. He was educated in school of France and Lewiston. He was married to Colleen Gardner. Allain worked as a hand sewer in the Lewiston Auburn area for 11 years. Businesses he owned and operated were Al's Seafood in New Auburn, DownEast Cap and Camper in Lewiston and Circle Electrik in Turner until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, drag racing and animals. He loved his home and enjoyed working around doing many improvements. He also enjoyed the company of his dog and parrot.He is survived by his wife Colleen of Turner; a son, Paul DeHayes of Brunswick; two step-sons, Scott Biron and wife April of Litchfield and Peter Biron and wife Lisa of Lewiston; a brother, Jim DeHayes and wife Karen of Sabattus; 5 step-grandchildren, Robby Morin, Shelby Breton and Sara and Ryan Allen and Jacob Biron.He was predeceased by his parents, a daughter, Susan Bouyea and a half-brother, Pierre.You are invited to share your condolences with the DeHayes family by visiting their guest book at www.thefortingroupauburn.com
Visitations at the funeral home Thursday from 2-4, 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held Friday at 6:30 PM at the Turner Village Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Wentzel officiating. Spring burial will be held at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sabattus.
