She was born June 27, 1947 in Poland the daughter of John LaForest and Iona Barry.
Barbara was the first female union representative in Maine for AFL/CIO United Food and Commercial Workers.
She loved being a grandmother and cooking for her family. She enjoyed the ocean and traveling to Florida with her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by two daughters Tonya Labbe and Barbara Stockwell; grandchildren Savannah Carvalho & husband David, Brandon Hatch, Kirsten Hatch, and Spencer Hatch & wife Shalimar Aidme-Hatch; great grandchildren Mallory, Delilah, and Damon; two brothers John Barry & wife Pat and Randall Barry; a sister-in-law Pat Barry; a niece Donna Deltetsky & son Barry; other special nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a great grandson Frankie Hatch; a sister Nettie Recor; and a brother Daniel Barry.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
