

He was born October 28, 1951, in Lewiston, the son of John, Jr., and Phyllis (Taylor) Russell.
Daniel was a graduate of Edward Little High School and continued his education by studying psychology.
He worked for Kingston-Warren being a recipient of their Bravo Award for his hard work and dedication. He had also been employed by Big Lots in Windham and by Rossi Construction.
Daniel will be remembered for the love of his family. His children recall him helping build tools for them to use, rebuilding a horse trailer, working on cars together, watching movies, and playing computer games with them. Other family members fondly tell of intense, yet polite conversations regarding various sports teams.
He was a talented archer being a recipient of awards at competitive events. In earlier years, he enjoyed horseback riding (having owned a horse "Springer"), and hunting wildlife, once proudly coming home with a bear.
He is survived by his former wife Candace Mayberry; their three children Amber Rossi and her husband Justin Rossi, Amanda Russell, and Micah Russell and his wife Cassia Russell; grandchildren Jacember, Colby, and Emi; four siblings Susan Marquis & husband Al, Carol Russell, John "Jack" Russell, and Mark Russell; two aunts Lillian Brown & Joanne Russell; nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held 1 pm Friday, April 22nd at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner Street, Auburn.
