Dax Grey Gallant, 17, was born August 1, 2007 in Lewiston, ME. His entrance into the world was sudden, much like his exit. The time in between was filled with joyous times and memories made with his " tribe" of family and friends.
He excelled in all subjects and had aspirations to be a pilot. In 2021, his mom & grandmother provided him with his greatest desire-flight lessons. On August 1,2021 (his 14th Birthday) was his first flight with Maine Instrumental Flight in Augusta. He flew more times, each time impressing us with the ease and confidence with which he took to the skies.
His other joy in life was gaming, there had been friends and teammates who learned from each other and won't be the same without him. When asked for an assignment what he would talk about if he could only choose one topic for the rest of his life, Dax replied "gaming." Over my little number of years I've shared so many laughs, so many tears and so many different emotions during my time playing games. The most important part is that these emotions are ingrained into our memories and we'll never forget how much we impacted each other's lives. For them and for the rest of us, his impact will always be cherished and never forgotten.
Dax is survived by his mother Amy Gallant, sister Cailyn Ouellette and brother Evan Ouellette. Grandmother Susan Gallant many aunts, uncles and cousins and "family by choice" people. He is predeceased by his maternal Grandfather Jeanpaul Gallant. Great grandparents George and Irene Martel, Yvonne and Eli Gallant, as well as other extended family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 3 PM - 6 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 217 Turner Street, Auburn, ME. Words of Remembrance will take place at 4 PM, at the funeral home.
