Phoenix - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, Kristopher Samuel Agren. On August 17th as he was preparing for his move from Phoenix Arizona to Florida, Kris had a tragic accident at his home which took his life. Kris was raised in Auburn Maine where he had many friends and family. His youth was spent playing baseball and football for the Auburn Recreation Department and many enjoyable hours with his neighborhood friends playing paintball and air soft in the woods surrounding his home where he developed a great love and respect for nature which led him to many adventures camping, hiking and traveling. Among many things he will be remembered for his kind and caring nature, his dry humor, his thumbs up and his love and protective nature toward his family and friends always lending a hand to those in need. Kris’s friends will tell you that he would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it, and in some cases did just that. Kris also had a deep compassion for animals. He volunteered at the Greater Androscoggin Humane Society starting at a young age where he adopted his first dog & companion, Daisey. He rescued a small dog in Florida that he found wandering at a garage where he was having his car repaired. After a few days, unable to keep the dog at his apartment, he turned him over to a PETCO store where he checked daily until the dog found a home. In his early years in Florida he volunteered at Habitat for Humanity. Kris studied martial arts from the age of 4 winning many medals in competitions and became part of the MMA Americas Top Team in Florida. He moved to Florida in 2008 and attended the American Technical Institute for commercial refrigeration and air conditioning where he graduated with honors. After working in the field for a year, he decided to accept a position with a distributor for Ethan Allen Galleries where he became, at a very young age, their Operations Manager. He worked long, hard hours and took great pride in his work always treating the employees under his supervision with kindness and respect. The company moved him to Phoenix Arizona in the fall of 2014 to help establish a location in the area. Most recently he accepted a similar position with Babcock Furniture in Pompano Beach Florida and was preparing to make the move back to where he loved the sea and sand but his life sadly ended before this new chapter could begin.
Words can not express how much Kris will be forever loved and missed by his parents Don and Linda Agren, Sisters: Julie and Jessica, Nieces and Nephews Cassie, Adam, Sara, Emma, Nick and Ben. His Brother-in-laws Bob Mocciola and Sean LaBrie. Aunts: Carol Libbe, Rita Raymond, Betty Dallaire, Lorraine Obie Uncles: Gerry Obie and Douglas Agren and many cousins and special friends. We invite you to join us for casual conversation and refreshments to celebrate Kris’s life on Sunday September 20th from 4pm to 7 pm at The Fortin Group Plummer & Merrill 217 Turner Street in Auburn.
