Muriel G. Johnson

Auburn - Muriel (Gilbert) Johnson, formerly of 414 Pond Rd., Lewiston, ME. died Sunday July 1st, 2012 at Clover Manor. Born 03/10/1928, in Lewiston. a daughter of the late Lucien J. and Alma (Marquis) Gilbert. She was reared by her uncle and aunt, George A., and Anne Marie Marquis, of Lewiston, until she married Donald J. Johnson, of Poland, on April 5, 1948. He pre-deceased her on 11/19/1991. Mrs. Johnson was a communicant of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church. She resided in the town of Poland for over 40 years before returning to make her home in Lewiston. She graduated from Holy Family Grammar School, in 1943, and Lewiston High School, in 1947. She leaves a daughter, Ann E. (Johnson) Warren and fiancé Douglas Elkins of Millinocket, Maine, three grandchildren: Kyle T. Warren of MA; Candace M. (Warren) Bauer and husband Ian of Olympia, Washington, and Kendon T. Warren of Dayton, Ohio, three great-grandchildren: Aidan, Donovan, and Aiyana Bauer of Washington, a sister Lorraine A. Lavoie, of Lewiston, and two sisters-in- law, Georgette Gilbert of Lewiston and Arlene Johnson of Poland, several nieces and nephews, and by her best friend Nellie Thompson of Lewiston. She was pre-deceased by her son Alan D. Johnson of Lewiston, sister Vivian McCall in 1986 of Aston, PA; a brother Laurier L. Gilbert of Lewiston, and brother-in-law Kenneth W. Johnson, of Poland, ME.

Visitation The Fortin Group Auburn Friday from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon followed by a Liturgy of The Word Service at 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Committal Gracelawn Memorial Park.
