She is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Walton; their two daughters, Caitlin and Michelle Walton; her fiancé, Connor Hannah; and her three beloved grandchildren, Mason, Theo, and Harper. She was predeceased by her parents, Carlton and Mildred Anderson, and her younger brother, James Anderson.
Penny was always giving of herself and putting others before her own needs. She will be remembered for her compassion, caring heart, and selflessness.
She relished spending time with her grandchildren whenever possible. During her daughters’ time in Rainbow, she traveled across the country, volunteering and gaining many "adopted" daughters throughout Maine.
She loved carnations, corgis, and walking the beach for seashells. Penny and her husband made their tradition of heading down to Old Orchard Beach opening weekend to get pier fries to kick off the summer. Her dream was to retire at a cottage by the ocean.
She made a career for herself at Sears and spent 28 years there before transitioning to healthcare, where she worked as a referral specialist until her passing.
Penny was a member of Pinecone Chapter of OES, a past Mother Advisor and Pledge Mother of Lewiston Assembly #14 Rainbow for Girls, an avid supporter of the Grand Assembly of Maine, and a Master of the Grand Cross of Color.
Penny will be missed deeply by those who had the privilege to know and love her.
