Barbara T Hoffman

Barbara T. Hoffman March 8, 1921 - August 31, 2013 Our most beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother has left us to go to her Heavenly home with her family at her bedside. She is predeceased by her husband, John J. Hoffman; her parents, Wilbur and Marie Thoburn; and sister, Jean Quinsey. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (aka Bobbi); sons, John (wife Gwen), and James (wife Marilyn); grandchildren, John Jr., Robert Scott (wife Amy), William Edward (wife Kim), Glen Patterson, Lori Patterson- Hoffman; great grandchildren, Katie, Kayla, Kacie, McKenzie and Madalyn. Barbara worked at the Kern Co. Assessor's Office and Title Ins. & Trust Co. for 23 years as an Administration Assistant. Barbara was a 50 year plus member of Eastern Star, also a member of Nile Club, Red Hats, and formerly with the Bakersfield Mother Singers. She loved to travel and had made trips to Europe and Canada. She also enjoyed cruises to Alaska and the Panama Canal with family. She also loved to go to casinos and mostly play the penny slots for hours. Our family appreciates and thanks the caregivers and staff at Emeritus, San Joaquin Hospital and Rosewood Rehab for all of their loving care and support. Services will be held on Saturday, September 7th, 9:30 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park Chapel. Reception to follow the service.
