

Benjamin was born on March 31, 1946, to Robert and Ina Armenta Lujan. He worked as a mechanic for over 50 years, operating his business from home. Ben loved getting up and working every day; it gave him purpose and pride. To those who knew him, there was nothing that he couldn't fix. Ben was strong in body and spirit, had a good heart, and never met a stranger.
He was born in Colorado, lived in Idaho, and later moved with his family to Lompoc, California, before spending the last 30 years of his life in Bakersfield, California. Above all else, Ben loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Children brought him immense joy and happiness.
Ben married Linda Buffington on July 5, 1966, and they had one daughter together, Shanda M. Lujan. He later married Donna J. Terry on January 10, 1976. Together, they had three children: Paul B. Lujan, Christopher L. Lujan, and Melissa Lujan.
Ben is survived by his four children, his grandchildren Autumn E. Serna, Alexis B. Lujan, PJ Lujan, and Erin R. Powers Sprague, his five great-grandchildren Brycen Lujan, Raiden Serna, Ashten Serna, Bayla-May Serna, Nakoah A. Vega, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He also shared a special bond with his nephews and niece, Frank Saenz, Dennis Saenz, Lee Saenz, and Barbara Saenz Theroux, having spent much of their childhood with them.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ina Armenta Lujan, and his siblings Raymond A. Lujan, Simon F. Lujan, Joseph R. Lujan, and Barbara J. Lujan. He is survived by his siblings Roberta Lujan Saenz, Loretta Lujan Blackhawk, Rubel C. Lujan, Sarah Lujan Salisbury, Milo A. Lujan, Arthur Lujan, Gerri Cummings and Tess Lujan Tirrell.
Ben will be deeply missed. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love for family, and countless memories that will be cherished forever by those who knew and love him.
