Crispin Ocampo Diaz was born on January 6, 1925 in San Jose City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. During the WWII, at the age of 18, he joined the US Army in 1945 and was in the service until his honorable discharge in 1947.
On March 31, 1963, at the age of 38, he married Basilisa Jasmin and they had 5 children, Eunice, Cecilia, Crispin Jr., Myra and Sheila. In 1977, the Mr. Diaz moved his family to Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, where he spent most of his life prior to coming to America.
In 2011, Mr. Diaz and his wife came to America to live with their daughters Eunice and Myra in Bakersfield, California.
Mr. Diaz loved to sing and dance, was very fond of Judo and Arnis. He was one of the best barbers in Manila, having celebrities as his clients. He loved to tell stories about his experiences during the war.
He will be remembered as a doting father, uncle, and grandfather, loved by his children, nephews, nieces and grandchildren for his kindness and generosity.
