Deborah Jean Arvidson Wood

Born in San Jose, California to Howard and Bessie Arvidson, Debbie was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from West High School in Bakersfield, and then attended Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo where she earned a Bachelors degree and a Masters in Business Administration, before beginning a career of over 40 years where she served as Senior Vice President with Bank of America, following in her father’s footsteps.

Debbie was blessed to find the love of her life, Danny, in her mid forties, and enjoyed traveling the world with him. They loved taking trips together in their RV. They had many close friendships established through their Valley Baptist Church Sunday School group. They were members of the church for many years.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, Danny Wood; his children Jason (Melissa) Wood, Tiffany (Gary) Mashburn; grandchildren Sarah, Katie, Jordan, and Calyn; 2 sisters Janet (Mark) Garcia, Bonnie Tullos; niece Tracy (Brian) McCarter; 2 nephews Robert (Cheng) Garcia and Eric Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents; Howard Slonaker Arvidson and Bessie Irene Arvidson.

Her love and devotion to her family was only surpassed by her love for the Lord. She was confident in knowing that God was in full control of her life and had prepared a wonderful eternal place for her in Heaven, to join her loved ones there.
