Felix Quintanilla

Félix Quintanilla falleció el 4 de Febrero de 2020 rodeado de su amada familia. Vino de México cuando solo tenía 18 años para trabajar y tener una vida mejor. Era un individuo muy trabajador y trabajó para Norman Etchison durante 28 años. No solo se dedicó a su empleador, sino que fue un esposo amoroso, un padre y un abuelo orgulloso y querido por muchos amigos. Felix era la vida de la fiesta! Le encantaba entretener y hacer fiestas en su casa. Era carismático, un anfitrión amable y le daba la bienvenida a todos con los brazos abiertos. Hizo que todos se sintieran especiales. Amaba a las personas y era un verdadero amigo. Todos lo llamaban "El Tio". Su legado vivirá para siempre en los corazones y las mentes con todos los que interactuó. La familia quisiera agradecer a todos sus amigos que vinieron a visitarlo al hospital. No hay palabras para expresar lo agradecidos que estamos.

Llevaba 32 años casado con el amor de su vida, Josefa Licea Quintanilla. Criaron a tres niños, Felix Quintanilla, Nicholas Quintanilla y Nimrod Quintanilla.

A Felix le sobreviven su amada esposa, tres hijos y su nieto, Nicholas Quintanilla, Jr, quien fue la alegría de su vida. También le sobreviven sus hermanos Antonio Quintanilla, Felipe Quintanilla y tres hermanas, Apolonia Medina, Cruz Gasca y María Ávila. Tiene muchas sobrinas y sobrinos de California, Kansas, Indianápolis, Texas y México.

Le precedieron en la muerte su amada madre Guadalupe González, tres hermanos Remedios Quintanilla, Francisco Quintanilla y Manuel Quintanilla y una hermana, Alicia Quintanilla.

La velación se llevará a cabo, martes 11 de Febrero de 2020 a partir de las 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. en el Hillcrest Mortuary y la misa será el miércoles 12 de Febrero de 2020 a las 10:00 a.m. en la Iglesia de Guadalupe, 4600 E. Brundage Lane en Bakersfield. Inmediatamente después de la misa, se llevará a cabo el entierro en Hillcrest Mortuary en East Bakersfield.

Felix Quintanilla passed away on February 4, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He came from Mexico when he was only 18 years old to work and to have a better life. He was a hard working individual and worked for Norman Etchison for 28 years. He was not only devoted to his employer, but was a loving husband, father and a proud grandfather and loved by many friends. Felix was the life of the party. He loved to entertain and have parties at his house. He was charismatic, a gracious host and welcomed everyone with open arms. He made everyone feel special. He loved people and was a true friend. Everyone called him “El Tio”. His legacy will live on forever in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted. The family would like thank to all his friends who came to visit him in the hospital. There are no words to express how grateful we are.

He had been married to the love of his life, Josefa Licea Quintanilla for 32 years. They raised three boys, Felix Quintanilla, Nicholas Quintanilla and Nimrod Quintanilla.

Felix is survived by his loving wife, three children and his grandson, Nicholas Quintanilla, Jr, who was the joy of his life. He is also survived by his brothers Antonio Quintanilla, Felipe Quintanilla and three Sisters, Apolonia Medina, Cruz Gasca and Maria Avila. He has many nieces and nephews from California, Kansas, Indianapolis, Texas and Mexico.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother Guadalupe Gonzalez, three brothers Remedios Quintanilla, Francisco Quintanilla and Manuel Quintanilla and one sister, Alicia Quintanilla.

The viewing will be held on; Tuesday February 11, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Mortuary and Mass will be on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Guadalupe Church, 4600 E. Brundage Lane in Bakersfield. Immediately after mass a burial will follow at Hillcrest Mortuary in East Bakersfield.
