Gabriel Resendez Jr., age 22 passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2024 in Bakersfield, California. Gabriel entered this world on September 19, 2001 in Bakersfield, California weighing in at 6lbs 6oz to parents Gabriel Resendez Sr., and Julia Falcon.
As a small child, Gabriel lit up a room with his ear-to -ear smile and twinkling eyes. When bedtime came, he snuggled into his parents rubbing their ears until he fell asleep. Gabriel was the oldest of three children, proud older brother to Miguel and Isaac. Gabriel graduated from West High School in 2019. As a teen and young adult, his mischievous smile and headstrong attitude never overshadowed the love he had for his family and friends. He loved being an encourager and supporter to his brothers, and boxing manager to Miguel.
Gabriel loved fast cars, car meets and racing. He loved living his "best life". He was not afraid to try new foods and loved spoiling his loved ones. A generous, loving, kind, loyal, protector of his family and friends who did not hold back when it came to cracking a few jokes. And gave the best hugs!
Awaiting him at the gates of Christ throne his Grandpa Erasmo Resendez, Grandpa Barbaro Miguel Peralta, Great Grandparents Pedro and Albertina Falcon, and his Uncle Jr. Barbaro Miguel Peralta.
Gabriel leaves behind his Father Gabriel Resendez and Mother Julia Guadalupe Falcon. His siblings Miguel and Isaac Resendez. Grandmothers Alba Julia Peralta and Mary Lou Resendez. Uncles, aunts, cousins and beloved friends, and his loving girlfriend Isabella Monique Sandoval.
We will remember our son for his contagious laugh, smile and jokes. He will be missed dearly. A piece of us went with you son. We will lean on our faith and heavenly Father knowing that we will always be one day closer to seeing our son again.
Gabriel will have a visitation at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 8, 2024 at The Patino Hall, 425 30th St, Bakersfield, California 93301. With funeral services to follow from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Gabriel's graveside service will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, California 93306. He will be laid to rest in Sunny Slope Garden.
