As a teenager she worked in the family owned Friendly Market. She graduated from Bakersfield High School and soon after moved to Lakewood, California and worked at North American Aviation. When she moved back to Bakersfield to be near family she was employed at Sears and worked in the Collection Department.
Later she returned to the food industry working at 11-C Market where she met and married Leroy Hill. Together they owned and worked at the Dari Delite in Shafter, California. After Leroy's passing she opened
Glenda's Grill and pleased scores of customers with her good cooking until her retirement.
Glenda is survived by her son, Steven (Jen), granddaughter, Amber (T.J), mother, Doris Hunter, Leroy's family, sister, Joyce (Bob), Brother Bill (Debbie), Uncle Vernon, Uncle Corkey, many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
