Gregory Donald Lake

Gregory Donald Lake passed away on the evening of April 16, 2021 at the age of 62. Greg's life began on June 30, 1958 at Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield. As the youngest of the Lake children, Greg brought immeasurable joy and kindness to the home. His altruistic personality and gentle beaming smile were a gift beyond measure to his parents.

Greg attended West High School in Bakersfield. He was a member of the graduating class of 1976.

Greg loved to ski. He spent most winter weekends in Mammoth with his brother and sister during high school. His mother Diane Lake, remembers the long weekend drives to the snow as some of life's best memories.

His artistic expression was realized through his love for woodworking and music.

Diane Lake describes her son as a kind and generous man; an artist full of warmth and hope. His smile and laughter were infectious. He truly radiated love and acceptance.

Greg was preceded in death by his father Donald Lake, and sister Catherine Lake. He is survived by his mother Diane Lake, brother Chis, nieces Kady and Carly, nephews Joe and Donald and his girlfriend Susanne.

Greg will be truly missed by his family and friends. His smile and laughter brought so much light to his loved ones. It's our prayer that he is free from suffering and has found peace.
