

MSGT Jimmy V. Garcia was born on May 13, 1954 in Mexico City. In 1960, at the age of six Jimmy came to the United States with his parents. Jimmy left us to be with the Lord on December 2, 2021. May he rest in peace with his parents David and Lupe Garcia. Jimmy's interest in airplanes was the reason he joined the United States Air Force. Jimmy was 19 years old when he joined the Air Force in 1973, he served his country for 23 years. Jimmy became a Tactical Aircraft Maintenance Craftsman. He had many commendations during his deployments to Kuwait Liberating, Southwest Asia and Desert Shield/Storms.
Jimmy recently retired from Cal Aero University on August 12** where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. Jimmy worked at Loyd's Aviation prior to joining CAU.
Jimmy's other interest were sports. He played football and baseball in High School. The Raiders and Dodgers were his favorite teams. But his biggest love was coaching his son Daniels Little League baseball team. In July of 2011 his team played in the Little League World Series.
Jimmy is survived by his Daughter: Danielle, (husband Paul) and grandchildren Ethan and Kylie from Coppell, Texas. Daughter: Angie, (husband Jason) and grandchildren Cordell and Ajay. Son: Daniel following in his father's footsteps serving in the U.S. Air Force. Stepsons:
Dayton and Robert. Stepdaughter: Lisa. Jimmy leaves behind his Siblings: Brothers: Arthur, (wife Rose) and David, Jr. Sisters: Esther (husband Bob) and Lucy (husband Bryan) Nieces:
Danielle, Jessica, and Victoria. Nephews: James, Benjamin, Michael, Christian, David and Michael.
Services for Jimmy will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Park Funeral Services located at 9101 Kern Canyon Road in Bakersfield, CA 93306. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 am. The burial will be at 12:30 pm at Bakersfield National Cemetery located at
30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd. Arvin, CA 93203.
Jimmy touched many lives and was deeply loved by his family and all who knew him. Jimmy will be dearly missed and will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
