John passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer. His wife Babette and son David were at his side when he took his last breath on earth and entered into the presence of His Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. He was a devoted husband and father, leading a godly example for his family. He will forever be remembered for his passionate love for Christ and his relentless desire for studying God’s word.
He recently shared with his son David that his favorite book was Genesis because it captured the full content of Scripture. His
favorite verse was Ephesians 2:8,9. 8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;it isthe gift of God,9not of works, lest anyone should boast. These verses were instrumental to his Conversion.
He was a lover of animals. He never met an animal he didn’t like. He often stopped in the middle of his gardening jobs to play with his customer’s pets. He admired the elephant for it’s courage, power and majesty.
His pride and joy was his family. He leaves behind his wife Babette of 55 years, his son David, daughter-in-law Suzanne and 3 granddaughters Jenna, Kelly and Sarah. Before his passing he was able to convey His Love and Pride for His Grandchildren one last time.
