Judith Faye Dishong was born December 27, 1937, in Hamburg, Iowa to Gilbert and Fannie and Dishong. Judy is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Ben; her grandson, and her sister, Susie. Judy is survived by her sons, Benny and Ricky; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Judy spent her childhood following her brother around the farm. She enjoyed being outside with the animals and playing with dolls with her younger sisters. Her family moved to Nebraska City, Nebraska when she was a young girl and she attended school there where she enjoyed singing in the choir. After marrying Ben, Judy continued to embrace her love of being outside and around animals with the horses she and Ben had. She also continued to enjoy singing, often joining the church choir when time allowed.
In 1956, Judy and Ben moved to California where they raised their two sons. They enjoyed trips hunting in California and Montana; spending time with friends and family in the Sierra Nevada mountains on motorcycles and horseback riding; and attending many functions for their sons, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Judith will be held Monday, April 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
