

Lillie Marie Harris was born on February 7, 1946 in Bakersfield, Ca to Fred "Buddy" Harris Sr. and Rosetta Stephens. Lillie was most known for working at Vernon Strong's also known as California Liquors. She then joined her extended family at Hillcrest Mortuary for 10 years, where she was best known as "Miss Lillie". Lillie loved attending her church at St. Peter's Restoration Church. Her hobbies included her beautiful quilt making, sewing, crocheting, and cooking. Lillie never met a stranger, and she was always protective and ready to help anyone. She had a huge heart and she will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents: Fred "Buddy" Harris Sr. and Rosetta Palmer Stephens. And her loving son: Kennon Macon. She is survived by her loving sons: Anthony Walker, Glen Colbert, Brian Gray, and Lawrence Whitfield, Sisters: Elizabeth Holmes, Leona Wallace, Fredia Bell, Bonnie Harris, Minerva Washington, Estelle Stinson, Brothers: Fred Harris and Vincent Holmes. 17 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. A Celebration of Lillie's Life will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Restoration Church 510 E. Brundage Lane, Bakersfield, Ca. 93307 with Graveside Services to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road Bakersfield, Ca. 93306. Visitations will be held on Thursday, March 10 and Friday, March 11, 2011 at Hillcrest Mortuary from 4-8 pm. Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary.
