Margaret Jean Peaker, 73, of Weldon California, Passed away and went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. She was born to the late Clarence and Mamie Burkett, on March 24, 1939, in Seminole, Konawa, Oklahoma. She also grew up with her brother Charles Burkett. She married the late Roy Lee Peaker in 1961 and they just celebrated their 50th anniversary and lived together in Bakersfield, California for 45 years before relocating to Weldon, California in 2006. Most of her life she was a homemaker and mother of three. Margaret worked in seasonal agriculture She loved bingo, thrift stores, cooking, and she also loved to read and collect cook books. Margaret is survived by three children: Jimmy Gorum , Tina Fogle and David Peaker. She also is survived by her son- in- law Don Fogle, ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held at 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday on August 16, 2012 at Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary Funeral Home.
