Maria Bertha Garzaro

Her name was Maria Bertha Garzaro… An Angel sent from heaven to Mother Earth!

Born into a small humble village in Guatemala, in a small town of a country without or very few resources. Sister to a family of a total of 12 brothers and sisters with her 2 loving parents. She set on a journey to come to an unknown scary world called America.

She forced herself to learn a completely new language unknown to her, educated herself and built a career with one goal in mind, bring her entire family to America. Through her struggle and development towards her goal, she and her husband brought over to America 72 Guatemalans, her brothers, sisters, their spouses and children.

Not only did she bring them to America, she helped them get established, find jobs and gain the American Dream, helped or guided them to home ownership.

Maria became our guidance, role model, established Catholicism, helped us build faith, and strengthened our belief in God. He goal was to show us the right path through Catholicism.

Today, she not only met her goal, she changed generations for lives to come. Yesterday, Sunday, August 12, 2018 surrounded by her loving family and her community, God gained another angel!

She was not just amazing woman, she was my mother’s sister, my aunt and I was beyond blessed to call her my Godmother.

Rest in peace Madrina! You changed the world and gave us faith! God will take great care of you. Miss you dearly!
