

Susie was born in Ft.Smith Arkansas to Quinten & Bertha Freeman. She came to Bakersfield as a small child and attended Catholic Grammar Schools. She graduated from Garces High School in 1965 and remained a devout Catholic for her entire life. She was totally committed to her faith in her own quiet manner. After high school Susie graduated from Lyle's Beauty College and worked in that profession, at The Basque House of Beauty, for more than 30 years. She retired in 1999 for health reasons. Susie married the love of her life, Dell Pearson, in 1968 and they shared a loving marriage for more than 44 years. Susie was a very kind and classy lady,who will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her greatest legacy will be the love of God,family and friends. She was a loving and forgiving person who seldom had an unkind word for anyone. She was a very beautiful lady both inside and out. Susie's hobbies included extensive traveling and the St. Joseph's Church choir. Susie is survived by her loving husband Dell Pearson, son Paul Pearson, daughter Stacy Pearson and grand daughter Amanda Pearson. In lieu of flowers, donations in Susie's name may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A Funeral Mass Celebration will be held at St. Joseph's Church, 1515 Baker St on Monday, January 14th at 10:00AM. Burial Services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Rd. Visitation will be Sunday January 13th from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hillcrest.
