Natalia Martinez Alvidrez was born on November 26, 1926, in San Antonio, Texas, to Guadalupe and Martha Martinez. She went to be with the Lord on November 13, 2025. She had five sisters and two brothers. She moved to Buttonwillow, California, where she met and married Manuel Alvidrez. Together, they had six children. Later, they moved to Bakersfield, where they dedicated their lives to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Apostolic Church on Mt. Vernon Avenue. Natalia lived a long and fruitful life, living with determination and resilience. Natalia was kind, patient, loving, and a great cook; she took pride in herself, her family, and her culture. Natalia, you made the world a better place.
Natalia was preceded by her husband, Manuel Alvidrez; her daughter, Angie Moreno; her grandson, Manuel Moreno; her great-grandson, Matthew Ryan Rojas; her great-granddaughter, Talysa Ashley Marroquin; her son-in-law, Juan L. Hernandez and Raymond Moreno; her daughter-in-law, Yolanda Alvidrez, and her dear friend, Sonia Marroquin-Dillworth.
Natalia is survived by her sister, Antonia Alvidrez; her children, Tony Alvidrez, Richard and his wife Adela Alvidrez, Sal and his wife Dinah Alvidrez, Eleanor Rojas, and Estella Hernandez; 11 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services will be on December 1, 2025, at the Apostolic Church, 519 Mt Vernon Avenue, Bakersfield. Viewing starts at 9 am and service at 11 am. Graveside service will follow at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest Park, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield.
