Noel Mojica

Noel “BooBoo” Mojica, 68 of Bakersfield, CA passed away on September 19, 2024 at his home after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Noel was born on September 19, 1956 to Manuel and Rachel Mojica in Bakersfield, CA.

Noel attended and graduated from Foothill High School in 1975. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy and enrolled and graduated from the Great Lakes Technical School. After graduation he went on to be a machinist mate on the USS Nimitz Aircraft Carrier. Noel was so proud of serving his country. He loved sharing many stories of his military life.

Noel was honorably discharged and returned home to Bakersfield where he met the love of his life, Toni. They were married for 40 years. They welcomed two sons Isaac Noel and Erik. He also has three grandsons whom he loved endlessly and spent all of his spare time with them. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for Michael, Josh and Weslee. And the boys knew it.

Noel enjoyed offering his time to help out with Cub Scouts, Youth Bowling League and the Ronald McDonald House. He loved to be involved with his boys and the community. And most of all, he was a big Los Angeles Dodger fan and enjoyed taking his boys to the Dodger games.

Noel worked for the oil field industry for 45 years. He last worked for Trio Petroleum and loved his job. He continued to work thru his cancer battle until he could no longer give it his 100%. He always said “if I beat this cancer I want to return to work”.

Noel is survived by his wife Toni, grandsons Michael, Joshua and Weslee and daughter-in-law Tiffany. His brothers Mario & wife Denise; Brablio & wife Olivia and Maximillian. Sisters Lenora, Sonya and Maxine & husband Felix. He also has many nephews, nieces, cousins and many close friends. Noel will be missed by many.

He is preceded in death by his parents, sons, Issac Noel and Erik and brother Jerome (Jerry) Mojica.

A rosary for Noel will be held Monday, October 7, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Saint Francis Roman Catholic Church, 900 H St, Bakersfield, CA 93304. A funeral service will occur Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 900 H St, Bakersfield, CA 93304. A graveside will occur Monday, October 7, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Hillcrest, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
