Growing up, Noey spent his time being active and social. One of his favorite pastimes after school and on weekends was riding bikes and playing video games with friends. Summers were spent camping with family where he developed his love of fishing at a very young age. Noey had many other hobbies and interests. Besides fishing and camping, he had a fondness for birds and loved airplanes. When he was 10 years old his stepfather took him to an airshow for the first time. Since then, he made it a priority to attend many airshows. He looked forward to talking with the pilots, and sometimes they allowed him to fuel the plane. Noey’s favorite plane was the US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle, and, of course, one of his favorite movies was Top Gun. As a youth, Noey enjoyed watching football. His team for many of his younger years was the Chicago Bears. Later on, he became an avid Tom Brady fan, and so followed and rooted for the New England Patriots. When Noey was a young man he gained an interest in jiu-jitsu. He took lessons but never competed. Noey also had a love for cars. His first car at the age of 17 was a Pontiac T1000. Throughout his life, he had several vehicles. His favorite was the Toyota Landcruiser. His first job at the age of 17 was at a movie theater in East Bakersfield. Of the various jobs he had throughout his lifetime, the two he enjoyed the most were working as an auto mechanic and an auto salesman. Photography was a life-long passion. He photographed weddings, parties, and nature. His favorite and most cherished photography subjects were his children.
Noey is the father of three beautiful children, Brady Conner Reyes, Jordyn Reyes, and Emery Rose Reyes. There is no one or anything in this world that he loved more than God and his kids. The time he spent with his kids was treasured. Their time together was full of love, laughter, hugs, and kisses. They spent time playing at the park, going to church, watching football games, going swimming, fishing, and going for rides on the dunes at the beach. Their hearts were full of love for each other. We pray that they will always remember and love their daddy.
Noey is survived by his mother Susan Karns, stepfather Wayne Karns, his children Brady, Joydyn, and Emery, his sisters Frances Cameron (Walter), Kristina Karns, Salina Reyes, Ilene Reyes, and Stephanie Reyes, his grandparents Alonzo and Caroline Flores, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by grandparents Francisco and Marcelina Reyes, aunts and uncles Queta Gutierrez, Buddy Reyes, Maria Reyes, Jose Reyes, Frank Reyes, and Stella Romero, and nephew Elek James Venegas.
