Our beloved mother Ofelia N. Mancera passed away peacefully into Gods loving arms, surrounded by family and friends Tuesday, November 8, 2016. Mom was born May 5, 1927 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico. Hers was a life characterized as one of service to others and to family. She never met a stranger who stayed hungry long as she was first to offer them a meal or a drink to quench their thirst. Her early and then later years can best be described as toiling in the fields of central California and raising her six children. Our mother Ofelia never rested for long, even on Sundays, as she was always busy cooking for the family, sewing and mending clothes, tending to her former husband Severo's needs, cleaning house or readying the family for work during the summer or school during the fall, winter and spring. Her quiet dignity will be remembered by all who knew her and no one can recall a day when she didn't give thanks and praise to God her Father. Ofelia is predeceased by her former husband of 43 years Severo and her eldest daughter Yolanda. She is survived by her children Jose Mancera (Margie), Elbira Mancera, Teresa Vasquez (Lee), Enrique Mancera (Elsa), Leticia lbarra (Ernie), and her sister Angela Mananes (Alonso) and numerous loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and additional siblings and family members in Mexico. Our mom taught us the meaning of love of family and love of others. She raised a family, not without flaws, but full of hope and dreams for a better future for them and their children. Mom was our rock and our foundation and her smile and strength will be missed by all. Mami,"Dios Que to Bendiga." "Until God Comes,"we will all sit at the table with smiles and laughter and remember our Moms' love and gentle touch. The family would like to thank her wonderful neighbor Elia for all of her support and care for our mom."He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names. Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite. The LORD upholds the humble"Psalm 147:3-6
