Richard was a loving husband. He was married to Kathy Montanio for fifty seven years. He also was a loving and caring father
and grandfather.
He had two children Alice Garcia and husband Manuel and David Montanio and wife Maria, all of Bakersfield. Richard retired from the City of Bakersfield after thirty nine years of service and was active in the Army.
He also leaves behind four brothers Felix Sr., Angel Jr., Arthur, and Joe; three sisters Carmen, Connie, and Arlene; seven grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. He loved to go camping, fishing, and out to eat. He will be joining his father Angel Sr., mother Florentina, and son Richard Jr.
Visitation will be Monday, March 31, 2014 from 4-8. Rosary from 7-8. Services will be Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 10:00. All will be at Hillcrest Mortuary.
