deeply for her. She was born to Earl and Mildred Ray in Fresno, California on September 19, 1946. She was the second of two daughters.
Sharon took absolute joy in her children, grandchildren and even great-‐grandchildren-‐-‐of which there are many. Baking, sewing, reading, musicals and board games-‐-‐these were all favorite activities that she loved and she felt blessed that she could share with the kids and the grandkids. Family, to her, was of paramount importance. She knew, with every fiber in her body, that families were eternal. Sharon also loved her surrogate family at Kern Medical
Center, where she served for over 20 years as the Internal Medicine Resident Program Coordinator. She took great pride in her work, and in her residents, for whom she went to great lengths to ensure their success. She loved each and every resident, and looked for ways to uplift and support them during their
journey. She was well-‐loved and well respected by so many. Sharon's faith was as genuine as it was unwavering. She served the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and its members, in every possible way she could find. She felt peace and fulfillment by giving of herself. She never judged and she never had an unkind word for anyone. The example she set for how to treat her fellow brothers and sisters was incredibly humbling. Sharon, a.k.a "Mom," "Grandma Craig," "Gigi," "Share," "Share-‐bear," "Grandma MahGirl," "My Girl," "My Sister," was full of light, love and grace. She touched
lives innumerable and will be sorely missed. The world is brighter for her having been in it, but less so now without her. She is survived by her sister, Earlene Ashley, son, Jerry Gillespie, daughter, Kim Logue, son, Craig Gillespie, daughter Michele Fowler, daughter Julie Carvin, brother-‐in-‐law Rod Ashley, niece Shannon Eder, nephew Britt Ashley, grandchildren, Kyle Logue, Alisha Benson, Taylor Logue, Landon Logue, Megan Gillespie, Mya Holt, Sean Gillespie, Lily Fowler and Violet Carvin, and numerous great-‐grandchildren and extended family.
