

She was the youngest daughter of loving parents Claude and Geraldine Coble; and was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Hugh Riley; loving parents; and dear sister and brother-in-law Patricia and James McCallie.
She attended Vanguard University (Southern California College) from 1961-1963, where she met her loving husband, Hugh, and formed lifelong friends. She sang in the college and church choirs, played the piano, and served as a mentor to many within the church. Sharon retired in 2003, after 23 years of dedicated services as Manager/Supervisor of the Traffic Division of the Kern County Superior Court.
Sharon loved and adored her family, which were everything to her. Sharon is survived by her three daughters, Denise, Diane (James), and Dena (Aaron). She is also survived by her ten adored grandchildren who knew her as Grandma and Nana: Ashley; Jordan (Brittany); Jessica (Cody); Kellie; Shelby (Nathan); Lindsey (Jacob); Megyn; Harlie (Daniel); Natasha; and Jack; and six great-grandchildren: Logan; Zoe; Blayden; Jayce; Maggie and Briar.
Sharon was blessed with nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and cherished lifelong friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
Sharon faithfully served the Lord and leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and service. She dedicated her life to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
We will forever cherish the precious memories she gave us and will live our lives honoring her life.

Visitation will be held Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 6:00 PM-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. with graveside services to follow at Hillcrest Memorial, 9101 Kern Canyon Road, Bakersfield CA 93306.
