David Lee Booher passed away on August 21st, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on April 29th, 1964, in Germany to Herbert and Sarah Booher. David proudly served in the United States Army, May 03,1983, retiring on May 31, 2003, as an SFC/E7. He touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
David Lee Booher's life was characterized by his military career and his work at the Fort Irwin Military Base as the G3 at Range Control. A job he loved, deeply respected and served for 17 years. On his first day of work at Fort Irwin, David met the love of his life Patty Dolinsky and found out that Patty was born on the 4th of July. David’s favorite colors are Red, White and Blue, just like the American Flag. He would often tell Patty “You’re the one, this is it. You are my forever person” and since that moment they’ve been together and happily married for 14 years and 9 months. He will be remembered for his love of fishing, cooking and judging BBQ competitions. He loved BBQing and smoking meat so much that he had 8 smokers. He enjoyed going to Vegas, where he would often win and then would give most of the winnings away to his family or friends. He also loved his dog, Gizmo, who is a Peek-a-Poo breed and remained his loyal companion for over 13 years.
David Lee Booher is loved by his family in Lawton, Oklahoma; his mother Sarah, sister Janice, and extended family members; Garrett, Brooke, Graham, Clark and Whit. David loved unconditionally. He was committed to anything he set his mind to. David was dependable, “a man of his word” and extremely loyal to his wife, friends, and his coworkers.
A memorial service will be held at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Rd., Barstow, CA 92311 on September 26, 2025 from 4pm to 6:30pm. In the meantime, condolences, support and memories of David Lee Booher may be added and sent through this website.
