

Frank was born August 2, 1945 in Saguache, Colorado. At the age of 17, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Frank served in the United States Marine Corps from 1962 to 1966 including a tour of duty in Vietnam (1964-1965).
While stationed in California, Frank met and married the love of his life, Gloria Williamson on April 27, 1967. They settled in Barstow, CA and started their family. Together, they raised three children, one daughter Norma and two sons, Frank Jr., and Timothy.
Frank was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive father. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, as exemplified by his devotion to his wife and children.
Frank worked tirelessly to support his family and was a heavy equipment operator for Caltrans for 30 years, finally retiring in 2007. Throughout his life, Frank was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed home remodeling projects, the outdoors and taking regularly scheduled camping trips with his family throughout the year. He also coached youth soccer, softball and women’s soccer.
In retirement, he enjoyed traveling, spending time in the yard, family cookouts, caring and spoiling his grandchildren, watching his favorite TV programs and playing online computer games.
He will forever be remembered by his wife of 54 years, Gloria, his five brothers David Benitez, Utah, Tomas Benitez Jr. (Mary Benitez), Oregon, Joe Benitez (Janie Benitez), Idaho, Paul Benitez, Utah, John Benitez, Washington State.
His beloved children, Norma Benitez-Hill, Frank Benitez Jr. and Timothy Benitez. Son-in-law Curtis T. Hill, and daughters-in-law, Brenda Benitez and Roberta Benitez.
Treasured grandchildren, Anthony, Paul, Kaylinn, Ashley, Kevin, Lupe, Adam, Crystal, Curtis Jr., Jenessa, Juliana, Braydon, Olivia, Timothy Jr., Emma, and great granddaughters Quinn, Harper, Liliana, Bailey and great grandson, Trenton.
He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
Frank was predeceased by his parents, Tomas Benitez and Juanita Benitez, younger brother, Bernie Benitez (Widow - Bobbie Benitez).
