Jimmy Apodaca, 68 of Barstow, California passed away on November, 27th 2019 of natural causes. The funeral service will be held at Mead Mortuary on December, 13th 2019 at 1pm with a celebration of life immediately after. Deacon Joe Moorman of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Mead Mortuary.
Jimmy was born in Belen, New Mexico on May 6th, 1951 to Joe Lauro Apodaca and Aurora Maria Apodaca-Maestas. Jimmy graduated from West Mesa High School.
Jimmy was married to Dorothy on November 27, 1988; they were married for 31 years.
Jimmy loved to cook and enjoyed playing drums for many years. Jimmy loved his family to the fullest and even when he was weak and in pain he still gave 110%. He loved visiting his family and enjoyed visiting Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jimmy gave and loved unselfishly and always gave his best advice and great conversation.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Dorothy, Brother Michael Apodaca, two Sisters Peggy Padilla and Darlene Piper (husband Jerry), three children Gerome Apodaca, Jenell Haley (husband Jeff) and James Apodaca. Twelve Grandchildren and Eight Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Jimmy is preceded in death by his Dad and Mom Joe Apodaca and Aurora Maestas and his brother Clifford Apodaca.

Sorry to hear about your loss.. Jimmy was an old neighbor if myself, family we lived right across st from Michael, Dora , Jimmy and Dorothy. u are like family to us, along with Dora like a second grandmother to my family ..he will be missed , never for gotten. Along with Dora too.R.I.P., u take care Michael, Darlene , Peggy.. Bless u all..

Jimmy and I Worked together Cooking He was a funny guy I enjoyed working with him. He sold me a Grand torino it broke down on me lol Rest easy Jimmy....
