Kevin worked as a paramedic for 11 years. He was married to Dorothy Lupita Lewis for 7 years and they had been together for 19 years.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Lupita Lewis; his son, Mark Togstad; his daughter, Bridget Gray; and his father, George Togstad. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Brittany Togstad, and his mother, Shirley Togstad.
