Larry proudly served in the US Navy as a Boiler Technician on the USS Cook with a Honorable discharge and many medals. He was proud to be a Veteran.
Throughout is career he worked in Heating and Air Conditioning, Machinist at Nassco, Pipe Fitter, Boiler Maker but most of his career he was a Power Plant Operator at the Solar fields in the High Desert in California
If you knew Larry, he was a man of many talents, a jack of all trades. He could fix, design, modify, or
just a new idea he wanted to bring to life. He was mostly known for his sense of humor, always ready to lend a hand or share a story. No conversation whether a family member, friend or stranger was complete without a joke sometimes corny, unexpected, but always guaranteed to bring a smile or a laugh. He enjoyed going to car shows, NHRA drag races, traveling, woodworking and just recently designing and crafting his leather products. But more than anything, he was known to us as a loving, caring father and grandfather and our best friend. Like any other dad he had advice, such as, always having a working flashlight, knife in your pocket, check the fluids and tires on your vehicle, and last of all Be Careful.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Teresa, daughter Raeanne Deady, son-in-Law Jermey, sons Kyle Shell,
Trevor Shell and Daughter-in-Law Jenn Shell. Larry was PaPa to granddaughters Zeva Deady, Loralie and Cherry Shell and grandson Miles Deady. Larry is also survived by his brothers Lawrence Shell, Ronnie Shell, his twin Garry Shell and a sister Carolyn Perhne.
