Lora was born on December 31, 1935, in Belen, New Mexico, to Manuel and Sofia Chavira. She later married the love of her life, Amador Padilla, with whom she built a life centered on love, faith, and family.
A devoted Catholic, Lora lived her life with faith at the heart of all she did. She worked for Weber’s for 20 years before retiring, leaving behind many fond friendships and memories from her time there.
Her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. She cherished every moment with her children—Ann Lopez, Marty Padilla, Sofie Combs, and Stanley Padilla—along with her 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Lora’s gentle spirit, warm smile, and unwavering love created a legacy that will live on through the family she so deeply cherished.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Barstow, California. Viewing will begin at 8:00 AM, followed by the Rosary at 9:00 AM and Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place immediately after Mass.
Lora will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her spirit will remain a guiding light for her family and friends.
