Some people only walk this earth for a short time, however God blessed our beloved Lorean Dew "Lo, Grandma Rean” with 85 beautiful years. On December 19, 2021, God called our beloved home where she is now rejoicing in the presence of the Lord and reunited with her heavenly family.
Lorean Dew was born on August 12, 1936 to Alionia Barlow and Exl Tucker in Cuba, Alabama. She was the eldest of two children. In 1956 Lorean relocated to Barstow, California with Ike Miller and they started a family. She had three children.
Lorean was preceded in death by Alionia Barlow (mother), Exl Tucker (father), James K. Hearn (brother).
Loreans spirit was undeniably loving and compassionate, which was felt by all. Her entire life was spent doing what she loved, whether it was caring for her children, other family members or friends. Lorean extended her care to others, became a nurse and started at Barstow Community Hospital. After 40 plus years of dedication in the medical field, Lorean retired from Robert H. Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital.
Through her we now know what resilience and perseverance is.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Left behind to cherish her memory- children: Ike Eddie Miller, Lorri Ulett Miller-Turner (Dwayne Turner) and Misty Lynn Dew; grandchildren: Ike Aerius Miller, Guy Colin Miller, Alonia Lorean Thompson, Quentin Lamar Turner, Ray Dufresne (gifted) and Jason Tucker (gifted); great-grandchildren: Guitano, Aaliyah, Brooklynn, Ray Jr.; 1st cousin Janie Mae Aikens and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.meadcares.com for the Dew family.
