Martha Manzanares

October 22, 1934 – May 12, 2015

Martha Lara Manzanares, a life-long resident of Barstow, CA passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her parents Abraham and Carmen Lara, her brothers Abraham JR, Rudolph and Alfred Lara and her husband Jesse Manzanares.

She is survived by her children; Michael and his wife Tina Manzanares, Marta and her husband Jules Vuiller, Mark and his wife Lydia Manzanares and daughter-in-law Susan Hamblet all of Barstow, CA; her brother Arthur and his wife Lois Lara, her sister Victoria and her husband Alfonso Massimini of Barstow, CA, and sister Teresa and her husband Steve Curtright of Chandler, AZ; her grandchildren; Christopher Manzanares of Barstow, CA, Stefani Moore of North Kansas City, MO, Michelle and her husband Brandon Haney of Victorville, CA, Marcos and Ja Vuiller, and Sophia and Juliet Manzanares all of Barstow, CA; her great-grandchildren Kaitlin, Konner, Karmela, Tristan, Jesse, Taylor, Tucker, and Teagan, and an abundance of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 29, 2015 at Mead Mortuary, 36930 Irwin Road, Barstow, CA with interment immediately following at Mountain View Memorial Park, 37067 Irwin Road, Barstow, CA. A potluck reception will be held at the Masonic Lodge, 221 Avenue J, Barstow, CA. In lieu of flowers, Martha would want everyone to “pay it forward” to those in need through random acts of kindness or by making a donation in her name to your favorite charitable organization.
