

He was born to parents Vicente Garcia and Consuelo (Connie) Ronquillo Garcia as the eldest of four children and graduated from Chaffey High School, Ontario, California in 1967.
Oscar was drafted and served in the United States Army from 1968-1971 during the Vietnam War.
As a teenager Oscar worked periodic jobs alongside his father at the Graber Olive House in Ontario, California. He then began working at the Marine Corps Logistics Base, Barstow, California in 1977 and retired as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic in 2004.
Oscar married Lorella (Cordova) in 1985. They made their first home in Barstow, California and currently reside in Helendale, California. Their lifetime of love and happiness was taken away too soon.
Oscar is preceded in death by brother Rene and parents Vicente and Connie. He is survived by his wife Lorella, daughter Nissa Marie Brandt and two granddaughters, Shayne and Isabella, brothers Louis Garcia and wife Phyllis, Ruben R. Garcia, and sister Norma L. Garcia, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
A memorial rosary and mass will be held on January 3, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Barstow, California. A reception will follow at the Noonan Hall. Internment will be held at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California during a private ceremony at a later date.
